I am an assistant professor in the Department of Philosophy at Union College. Before coming to Union, I was a PhD student in the Department of Philosophy at New York University, and before that I was an undergraduate at New College of Florida. For most of the 2015-2016 academic year, I will be a visiting scholar at NYU while on sabbatical from Union.
My work concerns the first-person perspective, and its implications for a number of topics in epistemology and the philosophy of mind, including self-knowledge, epistemic akrasia, perception, memory, skepticism, the Cartesian Circle, and social epistemology.

Here is my CV.
Note: There are two philosophers named 'David Barnett'. The other, who was a professor at the University of Colorado, can be found here.
